James E. Grumbach is a graduate of Yale University and Boston University School of Law. Mr. Grumbach concentrates his practice as a trial attorney and mediator. His litigation practice focuses on complex litigation involving insurance coverage, professional liability, personal injury and business disputes. As a neutral, he mediates and arbitrates disputes involving commercial and contract matters, employment, discrimination, insurance, construction, internal corporate/partnership matters, divorces, real estate, loan workouts, leases, product liability, lead paint, professional liability and personal injury claims.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Grumbach was a Member with the law firm of Grumbach & Royal, LLC. During the course of his career, Jim has tried numerous cases, both jury and jury-waived, as well as before administrative and other tribunals and hearing officers. Mr. Grumbach has substantial experience in civil litigation, representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of matters. His practice involves numerous types of insurance disputes and coverage, along with business, employment and personal injury, property damage and professional liability. Mr. Grumbach has pursued matters to the Appeals and Supreme Judicial Courts, as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Grumbach has devoted a substantial portion of his career to serving as a neutral, including work as a mediator, arbitrator, case evaluator, hearing officer and discovery master.

Mr. Grumbach has written articles and chapters on alternative dispute resolution, and has served on panels involving ADR, insurance and civil litigation. Mr. Grumbach has been honored as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine yearly since 2004. He has served on his local zoning board, and is the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association of Publlic Insurance Adjusters.
