Real Estate Land Use and Development The firm assists property owners and developers to obtain the necessary planning and zoning approvals, changes and permits, including representing clients in appeals before municipal zoning boards as well as trial and appellate courts. In addition to land use and zoning approvals, we assist clients in securing environmental permits from federal and state authorities. SLW also provides strategies to clients to enhance their real estate developments by utilizing the vast experience of its attorneys. To date, we have aided national and local clients who develop large subdivisions, mixed-use developments and affordable housing projects. The firm advises on the use of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40B and 40R.
